I ran Pump's AT rig today at a scenario game down near Myrtle Beach. The woods were thick and far from "pump friendly" and we were sided against a fair number of ego toting uber shooters. Ide call it a good test.
As far as AT kits go,
Ive got my home brew version on an 99 evo X, (bottom right)
a CCM 86 degree slider w/ delux pump kit w/ CCM CAM on a 98 evolution, (middle right)
Ive played around some w/ my CCM S5 with the same AT rig above (86 deg) (top left)
ditto on a free flow body (not pic'ed)
comparing these:
CCMs frames , AT kits w/ the full delux pump kit are extreamly smooth, no slop, and feel like they are factory made for whatever body they are on. Free flows, evo's, S5's - what ever. all kicken.
My home brew job 99 evo X feels much more crunchy - fast and light - but definitely not as finished feeling as a full CCM rig.
Pump's AT rig on the 2k0 sniper II pic'ed (middle left) feels very very similar to the CCM and nothing like my 99 evoX - it is very smooth and finnished feeling and I was frequently suprised at the volume of paint I put out. I dont think ive ever cycled a pump like I can (and did

) w/ my kid's 2k0. The smoothness and finnished feeling helped me keep the balls on target. Im pretty sure I can pump that lady on par with what I can produce w/ my evo cocker (top right). Its obviously harder to keep the balls on target while pumping, but I think with practice that will come too.
Im ordering 3 more - plan on replacing my home brew rig on my 99 evo X and the other two just to mess around with.
one tip for the wise: the AT lever will come in contact w/ the body unless something helps it stand off from the body. It doesnt really rub, but I can see where it could scratch the anno. Im experimenting w/ a thick rubber washer placed between the lever and the pump arm on 4-40 shoulder screw.
Two major thumbs up Pump.
