Its a "fashion" statement. Same thing as HK items/venomwear/sandana's and rare jersey's. There are very limited number straps out there, and some people are willing to pay the price to be "unique" at their field. I honestly would never purchase (and keep) a strap thats worth any more than $10, but there is a market for "rare" proflex parts....
