Well, if you go with a design similar to the later foxes, there are many fewer parts. Apparently the OFF valve is not needed.
I won't put the pics here because they are kinda large, but...
CLASSIC FOX 98 Desert Fox
Look near the back of the gun (item 10) you'll see that the shut-off valve on the classic is comprised of three parts, the rest of that stuff is the regulator, which a lot of folks gut and replace with a Palmer reg.
