My ranger is my favorite nelson pump, I have mavericks and hammers and its the most solid out of all of them. The best thing is that takes cocker barrels so you have the greatest selection out there if you feel the need for it. I personally wish it had a anti-double feed so the pump would lock forward but I got around that. I have a rubber band running from the bolts on the pump then around the front of the feedneck and it holds it forward very nicely. Also, put a little blue locktite on the velocity adjuster to keep it from backing out, I had that happen while deep in the field during DDay and that really pissed me off. Also, if you can find a pair of the SP wood grips for a cocker/mag frame they feel great on there but you need to remove the top 1/8 inch so they fit under the rail.

Good luck its a good gun.

Edit: Heres what I did with the bottomline setup.
