The guts are all aluminum, it's just a fiberglass body. SP1s aren't brass eagle plastic. Closer to Glock trigger frames. really.
Honestly, I think that the SP1 only needs two improvements for the demographic its targeting: a more robust feed neck, and stainless screws (mine are rusting).
