It is on the larger side but if it's any smaller, it won't look as good. The logo was originally designed for the flag that I had made up, so it's got a lot of detail. I've been advised by a few patch-makers that this logo shouldn't be any smaller than 3.5" x 3.5" because too much of the detail would be lost and to simplify the design would take a lot of work by my artist (who did this for free).
