Progress. Shaped the block to it's final form. And best of all my single finger trigger frame arrived this weekend so things are really taking shape. Now for the pump. I'm still sweating over what I want to do there. I'm really leaning towards a figure
7 shape with the handle angled forward but I'm thinking that I should have made the block larger or longer to allow for a second guide rod. With the leverage that a 7 grip would allow I really don't want to rely on the 1/2 inch central aluminium shaft and only the 3/16 cocking rod to take the torque. So I may be stuck with the original plan and just do a regular sort of round slug or perhaps a flat sided sort of duck slide form.
I stuck the hose on to just get an idea until I get one that's an inch shorter. But I'm seeing that the dip gives me a larger hand opening so I may end up sticking with this length but get a nice shiney new one....
