To answer the question:
SP was the #1 seller for wood grips, and for most of the 90s, the Automag was the SP "gun of choice", until the Shocker.
The Mag took up most of the space in the SP catalogs, and the SP factory team (AA) used them exclusivly. There were even special SP models of the Mag.
So, as you would expect, they slapped on there Mags with all the options they sell (ie grips, barrels, smartvalves, etc).
SP was, oddly, very anti-cocker in the early 90s. Though, VM68s are also common with SP grips, and.... as you might guess, they pushed the VM68 heavily also. (AAs used them before Mags).
