Update:
they received it this morning, teched it, fixed it (with a nice discount on parts), and sent it back out all in one day. That's some impressive customer service if you ask me...
Turns out the board was "fried" as the tech put it. He tried to reflash it a few times to no avail so I have an '06 borg with an '08 board with the '09 code. Can't wait to finally try it out...
