I've got an XD40 (the V10 Model). It's a great shooter, but I don't like the barrel porting. My dad has an XD45 (chambered in 45GAP), and it's exactly what I'd want because of its lack of porting.
I love how the XDs feel in my hands, and I like the magazine release much better than the Glocks I've felt (round, instead of rectangular with sharp corners). It's very easy to tear down and clean.
Can't comment too much on Glocks, but the XDs are great guns!
