I agree, I've been using them for almost 20 years without incident.
I can't say the same for macro fittings, in a 1 yr period, 2 macro's blew apart.
I try not using macro where possible.

Some of the newer aluminum fittings that's been selling seem an awful lot flimsier then the brass, IMHO.
