Hey, just noticed this thread. Usually, the threads I mostly am aware of are the ones I subscribe to, and unless I'm searching for new topics... I tend to be late on some, such as this great thread. So my apologies. Yes, years ago I looked at trying to see if sticking a reg on an Iller would help with achieving LP inputs. I quickly abandoned the idea, when I could barely get a shot out of it feeding it 12g's. With a high pressure valve, this just wouldn't work. I would have succeeded at getting within the vicinity of LP using hpa, but not with bulk co2, and most definitely not with twelvees. Since I didn't know where to find a valve that would help out with this quest, I never bothered to look any further into it since there was plenty of other equipment available to play with, but nothing that would help me squeeze out every last bit out of what ever air source attached to my Iller. But now that urge is back, thanks to Red. As he mentioned earlier, I now am only waiting on a valve stem due to miens being completely messed up. I'm real anal about limiting my paint when I play, and 12g's is my choice for powering up my guns, so as soon as I have every thing together, my review will include them, as well as bulk air. Quote:

GREAT NEWS!!! found some springs that should work through a vendor of ours. they require .4 lbs opening force.  sad part is they run about 2 bucks each. but depending on my quantity i should be able to throw them in with the valves at no additional charge.

Are these gonna be any different than the stock ones, or just a fresh replacent. Mine look good.

they "should" allow for a large decrease in pressure, even greater than what the valve does. stock valve springs are about 4.5 lb opening pressure.

Hey gys... I just installed remaining components together this morning to test out Red's new LP Illusion valve, and shot a video. Problem? With the cam? Yes! Gun? No Gun shot great. I'm using a female Staib which is probably not suitable for low pressure, but it worked great none the less with a 12g as an air source. I got some really consistent shot counts, and great efficiencies as well. At least 40 good shots in today's temps which are about 38* ATM. Yes hard to believe, but you can trust splattttttt. I ain't gonna BS anyone. Sorry about the film. Gonna try again with in today or the next. Stay tuned.

wow splattttttt, you're making these things even harder to resist. If I had a spare $30 right now, I'd definitely be in on one of these. Between these and the Falcon that Apoc is working on, I'm getting pretty darn excited for the next Pump Pandemonium.
