ok i may be getting a diadem here soon and i was just wondering how good the stage 1's are, the one without eyes

How are you planning on using it? Not sure exactly what modes that board has, but as long as you set a cap under your loader's feed rate it should hum right along without any problems.

ok can the board in the stage ones be capped its a semi only board i shoot only semi anyway, can it be capped at 10 if i start playing tourneys

Honestly, get an F8- smaller gun, same sort of design, not quite as well made but a lot simpler to get parts for, and the whole tournament capping thing is gonna be simpler.

Diadems are kinda big, too- very big frame, especially. If you want to play tournaments, competitively, not your gun. I'd take a PMR, Fusion, or any Ego/Timmy/Cyborg first.

Edit: might have misread- if you already have one on the way to you, it's a usable gun, if you're a backman or really anything but a snake man, where the height is the issue. Blind will be fine, especially if you use a LPR. A LPR will let you really tune the bolt to be a soft hit, and improve efficiency. Slap a Halo Too or Rotor on it and go to town.

If you need a cappable board, Univeral T-boards are pretty sweet little things. I used one for a project recently, and got a solenoid, battery, and board all in a normal frame, and the Diadem frame is huge so as to fit more solenoid and more board.

i already have a timmy, i want it because its different, trust me i have owned alot of markers and weight and size has never stopped me from mowing fools while i was playing snake, i just want to know what the board will let me adjust

Board lets you adjust just about anything in semi (4bps to 25bps, IIRC), or at least should. I only owned the full board, which doesn't have PSP style ramping and had iffy eye logic, but otherwise was alright. I'd prefer a blind gun, honestly. I actually want just a Diadem ram for a certain project- I'd be doing custom work on a spare Sentinel frame, to take a modern board, so I could switch between a Sentinel and Diadem without the size/ feel changing. If only there were still parts around for these guns...

I'm assuming you mean ram spring.

Softer spring means slower ram return, possibly higher efficiency (if using an LPR). Stiffer spring will decrease efficiency and increase speed (with an LPR).

Without an LPR, same general trend, but stiffer springs will be more gentle on paint, as well.

Instead of messing with the springs, get an LPR, use the stock spring, and learn to sweetspot the gun.


If it's the valve spring you're asking about, stiffer spring usually means more efficient, softer means less efficient. These are just general trends... personally, I think the stock Diadem valve spring is faaaaar too weak.

its what ever is in the upgrade thread in here, it already has an lpr, it has an aka, what would you recomened for the springs, i like tuning my markers but i dont want this to be a pain in the ***, if you know what i mean
