If he says it works, I believe him.
ApoC_101, I want to have sex with my Iller. But right now she's kinda... Eh?
So can you help me? I'm serious. Not really about having actual sex with it, but I want it to sound like it
So please?

the illusions hammer is massive in weight, and fires a long distance, so a light spring is very effective. this actually allows it to use a much lighter spring in comparison to a sniper style marker, which has a lighter hammer and a shorter throw.

250psi is an estimation, no operating guage on the gun. my sniper uses a very hard valve spring and thats where its set, so it should be very close to that.

in terms of more specific numbers on the weights to the springs: it takes about 8 pounds of pressure to fully open the valve, ungassed, but only about 2 pounds to cock the hammer (and another 2 pounds in the pump return spring, so it takes just over 4 pounds to cock the action).

full action travel: 1.100"
valve travel: 0.200"
hammer travel (minus valve opening): 0.850"

splattt, I'd be glad to help ya, though I'm too busy for custom work right now.

It really sounds like you thought this thing through very well. Those specs sound quite impressive
Lucky for me, I enjoy SC over open pump play. And the Illusion serves my needs perfectly well.
Typically, my CCM S5 sees less action than my PPS SS. Even at speed ball, where most of my friends go out with CA and hoppers.
I do like to tinker though, and always did want to try and get my Illusion to operate at a pressure much lower than what it was intended for.
When I can find a little more time, I'll give it an other try.
When I succeed, I'll report my findings.

If you have the correct flow path, you want a short dwell.

The valve on the far right is for the Illusion. The closest cousin would be the SS-25 valve pictured next to it. Cocker valves on the left. No way a cocker valve could be used as a drop in for the Illusion valve.

IIRC, the Viking valves have an OD of .688 which is the same as a vike/excal. /drunk

DA, that valve pin doesn't look nothing like the stock one. Where did you get it, and how well does it work. Looks rather short to me.

Cupseal looks right to me, but the cup is obviously not flush against the valve face.

I'd love to turn the cup on an Illusion a bit, to get a "LT" style face on it, and see if it affects anything.
