| Illusion v Sniper? What's the difference, other than an ostensibly higher build quality on the Illusion? I'm assuming the Illusion is more similar to an SS-25 or Merlin or something... Really, no idea. Does it have the same front-end velocity adjustment as the Sentinels?

| my impression of the illusion was that you spend more time cocking the hammer back than you do with snipers during the pump stroke. It could be that I was pumping an illusion set up for full co2 tank pressure vs a lightened regulated low pressure sniper... I have very little experience with an illusion but years of experience with snipers. I am going to get flamed on this I'm sure but I was unamused by the illusions gripframe, trigger, pump kit, and the relatively longer hammer draw vs a sniper. The grip frame felt weird. Different may be a better word. It felt unlike a cocker 45, I think it has to do more with the back of the frame where it meats the fleshy part of your hand inbetween your index finger and thumb. Its different somehow... maybe a different shape but more likely that the whole grip frame sits further back on the gun. Different spacing between the back of the frame and the trigger perhaps (a guess, based of off muscle memory). Basically if WGP had sued AM all they would of had to have done was put one of these and a sniper in each hand of every juror... its different, you can tell by feel alone while griping the gun. The trigger feels like an old fashioned spyder trigger to me. The pivot point, the mousetrap violence of the hammer breaking contact with the sear... again difference of feel... It felt "cheap" to me, but again different is a better word. The pump kit and dual pump rods did not sell me on the illusion. It was worlds better than the original wgp pump kits, had less drag, the curved front felt natural, had a good return spring, solidly built with little wiggle room, but it doesn't hold a candle to the newer pump kits commonly available today. I did not like dual pump rods, it did not help the feel and just complicated the whole thing. It is a different animal. I didnt like it because I liked snipers and I expected it to be like a sniper, I was disappointed because it wasnt. If you approached it with the mindset that it is its own pump in its own right and has little to do with a sniper, you will probably appreciate its finer points and similarities to the sentinels you know about. I am pretty sure that they take velocity adjustment off the front, I remember reading about that in APG oh so long ago. |

| the illusion is far better than anything WGP ever made, and easily on par with with anything CCM has made. first - angel threaded feed with a SC adapter. so you can run SC and open class easy as pie second - the valve system was setup for direct 12 gram useage. mine got 30 shots per gram out of the box, easily blows away WGP and CCM there. becuase of this flexablity, you can run it any way you'd like, from a 12 gram, to a 68/45 without issues. third - the dual armed pump system is better than anything else on the market, hands down. it delivers a pump stroke at least on par with anything made today. the only draw back compared to a CCM is the lack of AT.

| Consistency? Velocity adjustment? If they managed to keep the Sentinel-style velocity adjustment, I'd be all over an Illusion... but I think I might need to do some custom work, maybe with a 2k Sniper and a modified LPC as the pump guide.

| Spread The Virus | Um...they do use the Sentinel style velocity adjustment actually..Done by adjusting the screw up front through a hole in the pump handle
