Interesting Mag frame

Aluminum swing trigger, anno'ed what I think is a Pro Teams color. A few questions arise.

1: was the sniper2 and mag trigger the same? This frame looks to have a sniper2 trigger in it, but I dont recall what an older trigger looks like. This one has a small tail to lift the sear of a sniper2.

2: This frame is obviously not the old pot metal style, as they wouldnt take anno at all. It also seems to have the hole for the sniper style sear pin, but not the nub for the return spring.

Wanna get some info, as I am gonna sell it with a pair of SP wood grips in rainbow color.

In one AGD video, tom k actually points out that the Mag uses a WGP frame.

That could also be a Sterling frame, they used WGP frames too

yes cocker and mag frames have the same hole spacing

Ok, I knew that they have the same spacing and that they both used the same frames at times. The question is, when mags had this style frame, what did the trigger look like. i have only seen the cf triggers for the cf mag frame. I havent seen a metal trigger for mags in a long time. (The actual trigger, not the frame).

And the biggest difference is that this is made out of Aluminum, not pot metal that the older wgp/agd frames were made of. The thing I want to know is if Pro-Team made it, as the Anno is pretty much theirs. I havent really seen any frames made in aluminum like this one.

Oh and it is the one in that sale thread. I traded for it. Robertsr seems to be the pro-team anno expert, guess I'll pm him.

Thanks!

Yes, at one point they had metal triggers. I have a few old nasty metal mag frames with metal triggers.

The frames on my early Sniper II and Ranger aren't cast pot metal. The machine marks are clearly visible. I'd assume that they were annodizable.

If your frames are painted they are prolly pot metal. Early snipers used Sheridan frames, not sure if they had a machined aluminum frame as an intermediate frame before going to the pot metal frame. All snipers I have seen have the
Sheridan frame, the cast frame, or the CF frame from the later years.

Darkstar: could you take a pic of just one of those triggers? I want to see if it compares in design to the one I have. Or just tell me, is it relatively flat on the backside, or does it have a "Tail" stick out from the back of it?

Thanks for all the replys!
