Anodizing Micromag

I recently picked up a gen 3 Micromag, only to find it's been abused more than I realized. I would like to get it anodized, but unsure if it can be done, due to the insert. Anybody have any experience or info on such a project?

Micromag

I had my cocker anoed by renik miller from badboyztoyz in lansing IL. 708-418-8888. Give a call he might be able to help. It was done last year or the year before.

Cockers are easy. I've owned and customized more cockers than some players have ever seen.
My Micromag has an insert in the body, that IIRC is steel.

Ask Robertsr. It is my belief that if he hasn't done something to a Mag (particularly Micros), he knows someone who has. Else, e-mail PTP and ask them.

Curiosity, what pattern are ya dealing with?

I'm hoping Robertsr chimes in, he seems to be the resident expert on Micros.

It's currently black, but beaten pretty good. Getting it cleaned up, and the valve is working now.

I don't see a clip. It's not the same as the ULE body.

I've had several anodized. Getting the insert out is a pain, but it has to be done. I never took one out myself, but Rainman always said it was an issue.

Just a general query, what is the point to said insert?
