i have watched 8 of them now....still dont understand why that exploded out at me ( i was wearing an older jt goggle set at the time, the impact cracked the lense big time) ... i lost one of the little white doughnut orings in the on off thingie when it exploded out at me .....that appears why its not functioning properly, now i need that rebuild kit

Because you didn't bleed after you degassed.

Like any ASTM approved regulator, an automag will not hold pressure once degassed.

In order for your on/off valve to shoot out with force, there must have been pressure in the system.

If your CP on/off did in fact bleed, but did not bleed the pressure in the system, it is malfunctioning and acting as a check valve. This could also be causing a flow restriction and be causing your symptoms of shootdown.

Try a different ASA and report back.

well, just got back from a day at the local field....i switched off the asa and the fittings with a cp on/off drop i had, and the gun now shoots flawlessly ( poor young kids didnt stand a chance againt this old fat man ) untill tank pressure gets down to 1000 / 800 lbs range , at that point my gauge on the front grip drops from 850 to like 400 ....and the gun experiences the shootdown effect....i assume because the tank pressure is too low?

-regulator was very dirty , and i see what ya mean about the oil holes, they appear to go nowhere? .....LOL .....i was able to get the feedneck off and am currently considering models to replace it .... any suggestions?.....purple freak insert in the freak junior worked flawlessly, and i shot 2500 rounds with out a single break, not one single break....** think the ule body had some hand in the non-breakage?

i flippin love this marker

Great news!

Classic valves with level 7 need about 450psi, so that would explain the shootdown. The dirty regulator was also probably not helping.

I use a CCM feedneck. It is high quality, but I really miss a lever clamping feedneck. I see a lot of people on AO recommend RPG feednecks, but any Angel-threaded will work.

Glad you got her fixed!

If you mean the engraving that said for 3000 psi? Yes you can run 4500 psi on it, what matter is the actual output of the tank.

Most myth have an output of 650 psi, ninja can have an output of 850 psi. The more output the better for a mag, but not to exceed 1200 or so. It start to behave weirdly after that, even though you could not get that much of an output without an adjustable reg anyway.

i just bought a vertical adapter for it ( getting rid of the front grip do-hickey) , and i plan to run a cp regulator on there ... think thats overkill?.....my 68/3000 purte energy fiberglass tank puts out the air at 850 , but ive seen it go back and fourth up to 950ish sometimes....thus, why i wanna add the cp reg as an insurance policy, kinda?
