serial numbers

ok...so how does one decode the serial numbers on the AGD guns to find out when they were made ? ?

The number only really gives you the valve info. The prefix gives you the type of valve, and then you've got basically sequential serials. I seem to recall a thread on AO but don't know off the top of my head. The rest of the marker is so modular that it's more or less impossible to date.
