Then, why not trade for an PF Automag body and save yourself the trouble of another cut (and preserve a MM body for someone)?

I can't seem to find a picture. I think I sold it before taking a picture of it after being chopped. Sorry!

Cockerpunk has a video on YouTube of what I did. I chopped the feedneck so that it was exactly the same length as the elbow required.

I'd leave 7/8 to 1 inch of the powerfeed. That leaves plenty of room for the elbow and for you to further shorten it if you decide so.

Don't cut up a perfectly good minimag body just get a powerfeed emag body instead.

I've done this to my minimag in the past, and you definitely need to be careful about cutting too short. I wasn't, and my elbow kept falling off, so I sent it in to Luke's Customs and had him put on an offset feed.
As for this mod you're probably safe with leaving 7/8" to 1", and you can do this with a cheap pipe cutter. I don't remember where I got mine, but you can find them for $10 or so.
Also, just to reiterate, measure TWICE, cut ONCE.

I did mine by eye, with a dremel cutting wheel. Just go back with another attachment and smooth out the burrs when you get it short enough to suit you.
