Rocking the casbah
New automag problem
Ok well I just got Fatalis's automag, in black not the lime green rail. It gasses up fine and I get resistance on the trigger, but the gun will not fire. I really don't know much about automags and can't get a hold of Fatalis. I'm probably being impatient but I want my new gak to work dammit. I'm thinking the trigger rod was adjusted for the other rail??? Ideas on how to adjust it, it doesn't seem to want to move....

Check to see if there is a gap in between the trigger and the trigger rod when it's gassed up. If there isn't (which it sounds like is the case) it means the trigger rod is too far forward and the gun isn't able to cock correctly. There's two ways to adjust the rod. First way is to take off the grip frame and turn the trigger rod in using a pair of pliers. The other way to do (the way that I do it) is, when it's gassed up (yes, be careful and make sure there is no paint in the gun), grab the end of the trigger rod with a pair of needle nose pliers and turn it in until there is a gap about the thickness of a credit card. I like this way better because you can see immediately how much space there is without having to put the frame back on, gas it up, etc.

Smurfs, Gotta Love Them
Not wanting to assume anything but did you turn off the safety?
I also found the ad of Fatalis's (was looking to see what frame was on it) and the picture clearly shows a black rail, did you guys negotiate a change of the rail?
