Incomplete Level 10 Kit??

I ordered a level 10 kit off of actionvillage and it only came with 4 carriers and two springs (long and short, no intermediate)

The quick install guide on automags.org calls for a carrier that has two lines and an intermediate length spring. My kit does not have that carrier or that spring. Am I missing something here or do I need to call actionvillage and get my money back?

Definitely missing carriers; should have 9 total:

And I'm pretty sure the kit comes with 3 springs: gold (short), red (intermediate) and silver (long).

The newer kits out of AGD don't come with the larger sized carriers anymore since there really was no need for them. What color are the springs?

The orings back in the day were very inconsistent, reason for the 900 carriers. Forward to now, manufacturing them has gotten 1000% better.

Start with the smallest carrier (no shims) and work your way up. REMEMBER to use the same oring when changing out to the larger carrier (in other words remove the oring in the smaller carrier and install it in the next one your using). Keep going up till it starts leaking out the barrel then go back to the last one you had. Trip your lvl 10. If it resets fine then there's no need for shims. If it's slow to reset or sticking then add 1 shim at a time till you get it working properly. Your lvl 10 is now tuned.

The new kits don't come with the red spring (at least the 2 I got didn't) You can use the gold spring and you'll be fine. The gray spring isn't meant to be used as is. They'll work in some setups but a good 75% of the time they won't. Those springs are meant to be cut down for tuning purposes.

kit came with 0, .5, 1, and 1.5 carriers

BigEvil: springs are bare metal. Short spring is about the same length as stock. Long spring is about 3.5 coils longer.

Dmex: what length is the gold spring?
No matter what carrier or input pressure the gun will not fully cycle with the long spring in it

The gold spring is the same as a stock classic spring (sometimes it comes in a black color).

Reason it won't cycle is you need to adj your velocity up some. The longer the spring the more pressure you need to cycle the marker but like I said before the silver spring as is doesn't work right all the time.

Not sure if you know this but not only does the spring reset the bolt, it also governs how gentle the bolt is on the paint. The longer/stronger the spring the easier it is on the paint but that in itself can run you into trouble.

When/If you do cut it. Cut a little off at a time till you get that balance between proper marker function and ease on your paint. That balance is going to be different for every marker. Also, when reinstalling the spring, make sure the cut portion of the spring is facing the bolt and the uncut part is resting on the breach of the marker.

the two your pointing at are in the correct order, look into the hole and see if the o ring is still there? the order should be pictured on the valve also.
