I've shot through on numerous occasions a full hopper and what I carry out which is 6 Dye lock-lids and have right under 1k left in a 68ci 4500psi tank. You can probably get another pod or so out of whats left. So roughly a good 1200 to 1300 shots. Edit: If you have air all day....Efficacy is moot. Last edited by Ando; 07-08-2010 at 12:09 AM. |

Probably not, after 1000 psi you start getting shootdown QUICK. As for all day air, well, yes and no. For speedball, or rec games, sure. I play mostly scenario and air usage has been the biggest downside of my Mag so far. Although its so well set up that I really don't need to shoot as much paint with it as I have other guns to be equally effective. Thats the beauty of nailing an ergonomic setup.

I get the same efficiency as BigEvil out of my mag with X valve and normally can shoot it down to about 600 psi left in the tank. Granted that last pod that BigEvil is talking about ends up shooting out and dropping closer and closer to you at the end ![]() The trick I find, is to stay OFF the RT and you'll be fine.

![]() But I concure with what Dmex is saying. Last time I "shot my pack" was at the West Point spring game. Etac + 68/4500 dynaflow, not even a good paint to barrel match and I still shot all 6 of my pods and the 240 rounds in my prophecy. I had 1000 psi left in the tank. My M90 Pnuemag only gets slightly worst. Shooting the same I would have roughly 800 psi left. The trick is to use the smallest main spring, a short on/off pin (to get speed without having to jack up the input pressure into the gun) and a tank with excellent recharge. I really dont pay too much attention to the barrel / paint match but I try to get it close. Some of my barrel kits only go down to .684. Yes, they are not as efficient as other guns, but it is rarely if ever an issue. I always have enough air to shoot what I carry.

Level 10s require a higher pressure to operate, I thought, so a Level 10 equipped gun won't shoot as deep into the tank when compared to a Level 7 gun. It is just something to note when talking about Automags and efficiency. | |
