| Walking without rhythm | Limited feed project for a Mag
Hi there mag guys. I just got myself my first mag in a trade. It is a classic RT Mag. I got to play with it this weekend. I went out and played for four hours with my phantom and shot only 200 rnds. so the last game of the day I took my remaining 300 rnds and the mag and shot everything in about 10 minutes! lol So what I want to do is develop some sort of limited ammo feed system. Yes I could just throw a 50 rnd hopper on it, or make a cram and jam for tubes but I would like to make something a little more slick! I was thinking of getting another body that I could cut the feedneck off and try to rig a rip clip to so I could use a tac cap. Some other ideas would be helpful! a cool spring feed would be neat too... Ideas? Tips? How tos? Anyone done something like this before? |

A 50 rnd hopper with a level 10 bolt is hard to beat. I have an x-valve setup that will RT 2 or 3 rounds on a plain gravity loader. I consider it a setup different from any of my others. Since you don't need the speed in that setup, batteries are a bit of a waste. Those little APP loaders are handy in general. You can use them to make any marker a lightweight. Put one on a good blowback semi with a 9 oz. I did that last Saturday. I had forgotten how fast I could actually run like that. Anyway, you can't go too wrong with a level 10 kit or a decent 50 round loader, at least to try.

haha, yea. But I want to try and make something that looks sleek and get rid of the big hopper sticking way up in the air... I used to play with a 30 rnd tac cap on my BT, then I sold all that but want to do something similar with the mag. I am thinking a really sweet spring feed that hugs the body or barrel or something but I am not sure how to go about doing that. |

is that from a bt sa-17? if not what is it and how did you to it? Ive thought of this myself a few times , probably would be easiest to mount a sprinfeed on a tac-1 body, that way you don't have to saw off a feedneck and you could use the existing rail on the top to mount the feed.

Yeah the longbow is nice but it is expensive and trying to haul the mags around the field is a bit troublesome. Also I have no idea how I would fit it to the rt mag body. Idealy I would like something I can easily dump 30-50 rnds in. And if possible I would like to have it be moterized. |
