Make sure your feed plug is one of the newer "parabolic" feed plugs, not the old one with the flat spot.

Those are only for bodies with a powerfeed on them.

Wow. I didn't even think you had a direct feed. My bad. Yeah, check your nubbin and if there is a way for the TOO to decrease tension on the ball stack, do that.

Also...short-stroking is a symptom of not pulling the trigger fully to the rear when firing it or the bolt spring needs a replacement. Your bolt spring should stick out about 1/4" from the tip of the bolt, if it doesn't, replace it. Also Watch this video: YouTube - ‪AUTOMAG TROUBLESHOOTING‬‎

Thanks guys, I've watched the series a couple times now but still have not memorized everything. it was a combination of REALLY small paint and a bad ball detent. I got some new one and all is well for Xtravaganza this weekend.
