Micromag Insert

There was a guy around that was offering the service of removing and replacing the steel insert in Micromag bodies. I have a Micro I need anodized, and need to look into doing this instead of masking. Help! Thanks

I think this is what you are referring to...

ring clip instructions

This tells you how to remove/reinstall it yourself. Never tried it myself, but it sounds fairly easy. If you do it yourself, let us know how easy it really was!

No, a Micromag is different than a ULE. Gen 3 and earlier have pressed in inserts, although I don't have any knowledge of later models, I'm really just asking about powerfeed Micromag bodies.

The anodizer I'm planning on using tells me they will mask it for no additional cost, so this may not be needed after all.
