| MCB>my wallet | Mags and small bore barrels?
So I just got my first mag a few weeks ago, a classic, and it's awesome. I decided it would be better with a ULE body so I got one. I have a few small bore barrels I use with my cockers and pumps. The mag bolt doesn't seem to want to fit in anything smaller than .682. So does nobody use small bore barrels with their mags? It seems like it'd destroy my .676 barrel if I tried it. I know rollouts aren't a problem but a smaller bore would make for better efficiency. I figured I'd post here before I break something.

I think "smaller is better for efficiency" only works so far, I think once you get past "snug" it takes more force to propel the paintball to the same velocity. I didn't realize you were out with your new mag last weekend, I was out there with my new mag too. |

Yeah although I ended up using 4 different guns that day, just so none of them feel left out. Now I'm thinking some of the newer bolts may be just a bit smaller.

I used my .680 brass insert for an entire day in my Deadlywind barrel and did not have any problems with the bolt. Another buddy used his .675 the same day without problems too. I've seen a couple of others on AO using the .679 Eigenbarrel too. Are you using a LVL7 or 10 bolt? I do not know if there is a difference in OD between them.

It's not a lvl10, the whole thing is original besides the body. I will be getting a lvl10 at some point. I'll try it with one of my cheap sizers and see what happens. Ok so I tried and it worked fine, no bolt stick with the .676. Upon further inspection it looks as though the threads on the body are just far enough forward that the bolt doesn't actually enter the barrel, I think it stops right at the end of it.

Anything that rolls out of my .680, EMR paint did in the spring and I've had others that have. .676 is extreme right now, I probably won't go that small on the mag but at the rate paint is shrinking it may be normal in a year or two.
