...but my research skills have been failing me. I was originally going to trade this mag for a blazer, but the deal fell thru. Now a local friend of mine is showing interest and I neither want to rip him off, nor give him the deal of the century.

Anyhoo, here's the details on this particular scratch built Mag.

X-valve with Lvl10
Blue ULE body
Benchmark Rail
Benchmark Gas through grip
Benchmark Medusa lite frame
CP Flame drop in blue
14" All American barrel with blue tip
and some random duckbill I tossed on there to get it tuned up.

So what would be a fair price/trade value for this particular Mag?

I would say approximately $200 maybe $250? Im no expert these days on newer mags...

Let me know when you do hit the street with it...im interested.

Well lets see... Parted out you can expect the following depending on condition:

XValve w/ lvl 10: $150-$175
ULE Body: $75-$100
Rail: $35-$55
Frame: (just a guess as I am not familiar with the frame) $40-$80

Not even gonna guess on the other stuff. These are the prices I have seen consistently watching the BST forums on Automags.org

You would definitely get more out of it by parting it than you would selling it whole. As a whole marker you would probably be lucky to get $300.

Anybody that knows more than me should feel free to correct my estimates.

I'd also guess that about $300 would be the max you could expect to get out of it on a straight sale.

I would say around the $300 dollar range.

I'll chime in as well. 300 is about right. You may have to wait a bit to get it, but it's worth it. That frame is quite rare. You could probibly even do better than that by breaking up the pieces and selling them on AO.

I dislike selling things in general (goes against my hording nature), so parting out a perfectly functional gun into a half dozen packages is just way too much of a pain.

Plus, I've never actually played with this gun in it's complete form. Last time I used it was with a benchmark micromag single trigger frame. It had a bit of a bolt stick problem then so it got pushed to the back burner infavor of other projects. When I was offered a potential trade I managed to fix the bolt stick (bolt spring was the culprit) and now it's almost too nice to sell. Unless my buddy really wants it I'll probably just add it to my usual play rotation. Show those new kids how we fanned a mech trigger back in the day.

If that had a black body there would be really nothing left to do to that gun. Benchmark frame rail is a sweetie, and so is the gas thru grip. Benchmark trigger frame is cool too and the medusa frames were kind of an oddball thing.
