Got the punch, and Im not making progress...at all. Its bouncing around more than the screwdriver did. I had 1 small ding using the screw driver now half the area around the pin is scratched.

Hold it tight and make your strike count. It's when you are being gentle and afraid that the punch bounce like crazy and cause extra dent.

Alright, got the pin out, got the new trigger in, but when I was hitting it out, I knocked out the screw holding in the ball and spring for the safety, so now I gotta crawl around on the floor and find the screw.

Try using a magnet (unless it was stainless).

FYI next time you do this and by the way, the way you did it is probably the s***tiest way to get the trigger out and 99% grantee to "F" your anno and ding your frame to all hell if you don't know what your doing.

Pressing them out is 100%. Next best thing...

...Automatic Center Punch. One hit...Done.

Get one on Ebay for around $5 or hit Lowes, Ace or Depot. There's 0 need for a hammer and the hitting force on those punches are adjustable by a spring in the back.

There are many types and styles. The one you want looks like this or any variant of it.

How it works.
Automatic center punch - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Magnificent little tool for $5 and will save your anno and you a headache.

EDIT:
This thing will put holes through .030 sheet metal, smash windows as if it was hit with a sledge hammer and could kill a person if hit in the head with it so be careful.

EDIT 2:
One thing I forgot to mention which Cunha did. The pin does only come out one way. Should come out the drivers side of the frame so hit the pin on the right side....that is unless...read below. vvv

Golden knowledge by Ando

The problem is that the pins on the AGD frames only come out one way and sometimes it is very hard to know which way it will come out. Especially if someone else has messed around with the trigger before and might have inserted the pin in a different direction.

In my drunken state, I couldn't recall the magnetic properties of stainless.
