Question(s) about the Autoresponce frame.

Ok, so heres the auction:
eBay: Automag autoresponse trigger frame (item 300101297208 end time Apr-15-07 20:05:12 PDT)

A fully-mechanical dual-stroke frame. I think thats cool. Can anyone explain how exactly it works? Can it be switched to normal-fire? I was also wondering if they are easy to find (as apposed to "rare" and what time frame they came from), or if they are still widley available. Do they require a special rail or anything else special, or can I just slap it on my 68Automag?

Another question - is this one?
eBay: Micro Mag trigger frame Paintball marker parts (item 270109512956 end time Apr-15-07 07:01:21 PDT)

...or is that just a standard frame with the same casing? I want to try out a .45 anyway so if it isn't then no biggie .

And who made/makes them? Or is it another AGD item?

Thanks! (swift replies would be appreciated! )

The "magic" of the frame is in the sear. As long as the sear is there it should work fine(Never had one in my own hands, so take this all with a grain of salt I suppose). Yes they are relatively rare.

Autoresponse frames are really an engineering marvel.

They work off a spring loaded lever, so basically when you pull the trigger, it pops the on/off once, and as you let the trigger go, the spring loaded lever rocks the sear again to pop the on/off a second time.

To the best of my knowledge they cannot be "turned off". In fact, everyone I know personally that had one, took it off their marker because it just wasn't fair to run it against other semis. In this day and age it probably wouldn't be noticed as much, but back in the day if you started ripping off 12-14 bps strings it really got everyone's attention.

Man, I really want one of these... It's going to have to wait though. I'm not ready to cough up the $100 for this one - especially since I'm about to buy a 'phoon.

Guess I'll chalk it up on the list with the other impossible things to find someday when cashflow is better...

There is an even rare version of this for the VM..

I would love to see an exploded view of the parts, or even something like a cutaway animation of how it works.

The double trouble you mean?

I have one (for the VM). I think it's under my coffee table.
www.vm68.com: Double Trouble Trigger explains it (Thanks Chris!) And it keeps me from prattleing on to you in ways that more than likely will be confusing.

Fine dude.. beat me to it.
But I got the linkie up.

I stumbled accross an Autoresponse frame a few weeks ago in a box of parts I bought for $50. It is really neat, but I will stick with my ULT'd Intelliframes (they're a tad more field legal). I turned around and sold the frame for $80... made about $140 parting out that box
