A few Classic / X questions.

Sorry for duplicating this with one of the B/S/T threads, but I realized this might be an even better place to ask:

1) Is there a way to buy new Classic valves, or are there only X-Valves for sale now?

2) For someone like me who really doesn't need to be able to shoot at high ROF (maybe 6-7 bps tops, I would think), is there any advantage to X-Valve over Classic?

3) Are there any places other than AGD and Tunaman to buy new Automag kit?

Thanks.

1) no, you can't buy a new classic valve. AGD only does X-valves now. you can pick up a beater classic for much cheaper with a complete gun and go from there for your needs.

2) IMO, no, there is no advantage for your needs for an X-valve over a classic.

3) you can look around, but its doubtful. AGD & Tunaman are good parts dealers. finding a dealer for AGD is tough, but you really don't need to look elsewhere.

Thanks, Nobody. I was starting to gather that just buying a used Classic was a fine starting point.

A Used Classic with a decent loader (I Like a Revy for Posterity's sake) is a great gun. I recommend a LVL 10 bolt upgrade, to keep from making it a blender, but that's me. I tend to blend with a lvl 7.

Aside from the Stormtrooper Mag (which looks nice, but isn't my style, I don't think)?

There are numerous classic valves floating around for sale at good prices. Just be prepared that you might need to overhaul a used one if you go that route.

Im fairly certain both Tuna and AGD have new classic valves laying around. Im also fairly certain that Tuna has a few used ones as well, it wouldnt hurt to ask.

To answer your other question about there being a benifit - think of an Xvalve to be a supercharged V8 engine, and a classic valve a turbo charged 4 cylinder. If you can live with the 4, then its perfect for you.
