Ahhh Part Compatability Driving Me Insane

Here's the situation: I have a ULE everything x-valve mag. I'd like to run it with a vertical bottle, but the ULE vertical asa doesn't have a pin depressor. No problem, I'll find one that does. Of course, best I could find, only the older, one-screw vertical asa's have the pin, so I need a classic rail to go with the asa. Ok, got that covered. Now the ULE sear doesn't fit in the classic rail.

So, my questions: Does there exist a vertical ASA with a pin depressor that is compatible with the flat-bottom ULE rail? If not, what's the deal with the sear not fitting? If I can't use the ULE one, would a classic sear work with the X-valve and ULT? Thanks everyone.

The classic sear will work, but it will have a rougher pull since theres no bearings in it.

R/T classics DO NOT have the pin in them and those are the oldest 2 screw asa's as far as I know. I just ran down and checked since I was selling one.

Its easy to make a classic asa into a 2 screw though. I turned one into a 15 degree 2 screw.

Besides, dukie's use of the classic ASA, you can also find the stubby ASA's for remote bottle adapters and put a pair of 10-32 holes in the top.

If you use flat head screws, the holes don't even have to be straight. It's best if you don't make your first set of holes from a new setup in a part that you want to keep.
