Mag Help

I have a classic mag with level10 and after 20 or so shots the sear pin kinda sticks in the frame but if I turn the air off and on it un sticks. My tank output is around 850psi. Is my sear worn out or is my tank pressure not high enough.

Okay got pictures

You mean the sear doesn't reset? Check the bolt spring for wear. It should be (1/2 coil?) longer than the tip of the bolt.

You mean the "trigger rod" behind the trigger? The "sear pin" is drop-in shaft (classic rail) that the sear pivots upon.

If you have oil, make sure your velocity is set to somewhere near where you want to play. Basically, level 10s are velocity sensitive.

And pics do help.

Sounds like you may be using too small of a carrier. Search for help on "bolt stick" to find various solutions.

It worked for a little bit then it started also the rear bolt is just finger tight. Havent tried pushing the bolt back to see if that is it.

You've got a level 10 and the trigger won't reset, which means the bolt isn't going back far enough to click past the sear. That's caused by the carrier o-ring being too tight. It may break in and be okay if you are able to get 500 to 1000 shots through it. However, it may be just because the carrier is too small, putting too much pressure on the carrier o-ring and causing the bolt to stick before it fully resets.

If it sticks, try pushing the bolt back with your finger through the powerfeed tube or pushing it back with a squeegie from down the barrel. (Put your trigger safety on before doing this.) If it clicks and resets, then bolt stick is your problem. Take out all shims from the level 10 and try that first. If you still have the problem, move a half-size larger with your carrier while using the same carrier o-ring.

The field strip screw should be hand tight only. You can put an allen wrench on it if you want to, but be careful about over-tightening it.
