I'm the same way, I haven't even set mine up for fear of it being ruined.
Why not just make the inserts and send them to the people who own the markers?
Guess that would be too easy... and too much shipping for them to cover. lol

If you install the washer and you're a tad off you will ruin the body. On the other hand it sucks to send something back that took so long to get. Zoom is an awesome guy and just trying to make this right. If I still had one of these bodies I would have made a washer for it myself. If you cant do that I would send it to zoom or other cable hands but that's just silly me.

Personally.. Id rather not send my mm09 back to PTP. Whats with this 'install it wrong and you ruin the body' stuff? If they couldnt get the body right the first time, whats to say that THEY would install it correctly??

It's just a really tight fit and a pain in the arse to get in... unless you have a press and a jig set up for it, and then it's a snap. Which they do.

Personally I'm sending both of mine in.

Yup. I've had it done before.

If it's not anno'ed yet, you'll need to wait until it is before it will fit properly.

In case anyone isn't following the AO threads, Zoom is sending out the SS insert washers.
