New mag fan

Just wanted to say thanks to Paulzor for the mag he sold me (left you some feedback). And a big thanks to Tom Kaye for creating a great marker with simplicity and function in mind. I have to say i am a big fan.
I've been playing with my Dm7 for some time now and feel that the it's pretty darn close to being the perfect marker for an electro. I stopped playing 5man a few years ago, and after playing spray and pray paintball for years, i started looking for a semi-auto marker to slow my game down and require me to use more skill. I was considering making my merlin a mech, but after i had the unfortunate privilege of attempting to get a friends cocker to function, i said to hell with that and got the mag. All i can say is after a day of play i was impressed and extremely pleased. But, i have a case of "upgradeitis" already though. I think i'll be even happier with a ult and level 10

Let's see a pic of your new toy. You probably don't need much for upgrades. I played with a stock minimag a few days ago and let my cousin use my ULE with x-valve, ULT, lvl 10, intelliframe & HPA tank.

The stock mag wasn't quite as slick or smooth, but it was still a really good gun. I ran Co2 through it on a remote and didn't have any problems other than I short stroke a ball one time. Still, I put maybe around 600 - 800 rounds of 6 yr old paint through it and just one break isn't bad at all. (Course, my cousin put twice the balls through the other and didn't break anything with the lvl 10.)

Not bad for a first mag. I had to have a centerfed body because that's just what i'm used to. It has the barrel adapter also so i don't have to buy new barrels.
Like i said, i was impressed with it's performance. The sole purpose was to get a mech marker to play with the walk-ons that play on saturday. I try to go after work if i finish up early enough. I hate seeing new kids feeling intimidated by people with ramping markers, and not enjoying themselves. Not good for the sport. I thought about a pump, but i don't need that much of a handicap. Being 38 is enough of one
My only complaint would be the trigger pull is tight. I'm sure i would get used to it, and i probably should limit myself. I do need to slow down the ol' trigger finger, but it's insanely frustrating seeing those 2 or 3 balls sail over the snake guys head when i'm getting pinched in from the corner too! I figured ult would be in my future until i read it won't work in that valve. So, i guess i'll play with it like it is for a while until i sell some other gear and can get an xvalve.

An RT on/off will work in that valve and cut the trigger pull in half.

That mag looks very clean. Very nice find. You could also get a power tube spacer kit to go along with the RT on/off to help with trigger pull.

I would go the RT on/off route first. I have a friend with a ULT trigger and Level 10 and it seems that the ULT tends to complicate things and make the 'Mag a little difficult to tune and deal with. My advice, go Level 10 and the RT on/off and see how you like it and skip the ULT trigger for the time being.

I hear you loud-n-clear

The added leverage of a dual trigger helps "lighten" the pull as well... my intelliframed mag certainly feels much lighter than my standard single trigger framed mag.

thanks for the suggestions guys. i guess i'm in over my head. I never heard the rt on/off fitting in that valve. I'll go the cheaper route and see how that goes.
