Check your junk mail carefully. My email treats everything that comes from AO as junk. I've even put the address on the safe list and it still goes to junk. If you still find nothing, shoot a PM to Beemer here and he can help you out.

I'd like to get on AO. For some reason I get an error telling me my email address is banned. I've been getting this for quite some time now, and have never been a member, so I can't see why I would be banned? Anyone wanna help me get an account over there?

You probably have a gmail or hotmail address. They are all banned due to spammers, so you need to sign up with a different email or pm Beemer to have your email address preapproved.

Can anyone GET me on there??? Everytime I try, just goes to Admin must confirm, and months go by without hearing anything!!!

But I don't actually care to be a member of a site that is so mismanaged that you need to contact a site administrator THROUGH ANOTHER SITE WITH BETTER MANAGEMENT.

What a bad joke.

It's not the management, it's just relatively old. It's like having a computer so old that the software patches to make it "up to date" would kill it altogether. The membership doesn't justify new hardware, so it plods along as best it can.

However, you would think there would be some way to sticky the process without feeding the spambots.
