frustrating mag problem

In the process of cleaning and lubing my emag for shipment i decided to clean and lube my other mags too. I've got a mag with an x-valve in it and when i gas it up it holds air fine, no leaks. Pull the trigger and the bolt sticks forward and air whooshes down the barrel. There is the lvl 10 kit installed, but it was having no issues prior to this.

edit: it is still doing this after switching to a new bolt spring.

thanks for the help!

detent screwed in too far? I can't remember if the bolt passed the detent, and am too lazy to go check Same goes for front frame screw? I used one that was too long in a stainless body one time and the bolt hammers away at the threads.

Sounds like you left an on/off top o-ring out. With the bolt forward, the on/off should be closed.

That, or like dukie says, your screws are loose.

Double ck that all parts are installed the correct way since you stripped it down.. I've seen a few markers that had the carrier upside down.

It was the detent...

The stupid little oring broke and fell off and I didn't even notice.

...now its going full auto...but at least its not leaking.

Never did anything to the sear, so looks like i'll be inspecting those on/off o-rings very closely.

edit: all fixed, the on/off pin wasn't in all the way. and again
