you only need shims for a ULT ( trigger) or a level 10 bolt ( for antichop). If you want to lower the velocity you just adjust the reg on the back. You should easily be able to get 200-220 FPS speeds.

Yeah, just turn it down on the down at the back with an Allen wrench, counter clockwise.

Yes this does sound great in all but I am picking up a fn303... it has a mag valve that is too powerful and there is a way to mod the inside to lower the speed.

Yes, but I wouldn't mind saving 100 bucks (that can be 3 mags for it!). Besides I know it has to be something simple, due to it is easy reversible mod. Guess I will check out automag forums. Wish now that I didnt sell my mag. I just have just did a drop in.

You can't do a simple drop in.
The bolt is different. Longer.

What would be cool though, is a mag that uses those magazines"

Yes i understand this part. Or the fs rounds wont work.

But going back to the original part. I never teched one of these before like ive said. But out of the box it shoots about 450 or higher and im sure that simply adjusting the reg in the back will drop it this far.

But the looks of the diagram of the old retro it could possibility be the springs in the reg. Which would make sense.

Stupid question: why not just put a secondary inline regulator between the tank and the gun?

Would that not work?
