Mag on co2
 

I recently got interested in making a mag "pistol". I would use it as a primary because it is light. But I understand off 12 gram co2 mags tend to get ten good shots if you can call them that. Is there any way I can get more shots off my mag? Any help would be awesome, or recommendations for a set up.

First off, you will never get an automag pistol to be as efficient as other pistols, like a TPX, so if efficiency is really important to you, consider getting something else.

But, if you're determined to use an automag, there are some improvements you can make. If you use a barrel kit and have a good paint/barrel match (which improves consistency), you should be able to get more like 15 decent shots off.

You could also get a bit more drastic and mod the valve itself (like ScreamingShiek mentioned). This may improve the efficiency another 10-20%. Smoothice on AO did some interesting tests on some different things he tried.

You can also de-volumize the hose by inserting a large gauge wire into it.
It will lead to slower recharge, but more shots.

When using 12grams, weigh them. Some aren't filled that much.

I never got the hose thing. Don't see how it works at all.
