Recommended Barrels

I just got my first mag that I'm excited for. Currently has a purple cf ule body, ft pro valve with level 10, and classic rail/frame. I may be getting a z-grip soon. Can't wait for my camera to work to post pics.

Now I need a barrel. I love looking at everyone's mag pictures and seeing and using small barrels. So i need help on what would be a great barrel. I want something small like all you minimag users have, but I have cocker threaded from the ule body. I was looking at Lapco barrels. Any good? Recommend a specific barrel of theirs or a different brand. Want something like an 8 inch, 12 tops.

You could always get a freak back with a White Wolf Airsmithing tip to make it a 7.5"-8.5" total length depending on the chosen tip.

Aesthetically I love 'em, I tend to only use the tip when I'm also using a loudner. Most of the time I'm using a freak whoosh tip though.

Haha, yeah, I want mine aesthetically pleasing and shooting like a champ. Will now have a z-grip on the way. So will need a nice barrel and ASA now. I want to make sure a shorter barrel like that will shoot nicely.

They shoot fine, but the shorter it is the louder it will be. Generally I play woodsball and I'm trying to be sneaky, that's the only reason it doesn't get more use.

I know a lot of airball guys prefer longer barrels for the added benefit of pushing into their bunker so that's another downside. But they are more compact and maneuverable so there's a plus.

I mainly got the WWA back b/c I don't like to support SP. It works good enough for me. When I use it with the tip it always draws attention and questions. Most people haven't seen such short barrels.

From shooting mine in the backyard (just got my tip on Tuesday) It is indeed louder than my normal barrels but shoots even better. The better shooting is most likely due to the freak inserts and paint match, first time using the freak system.
