Mag love.

Anyone else in love with mags?

I recently picked up a couple of mags:

and

after not owning a mag for about 14 years.

There is something elegantly simple, yet wonderful, with Tom Kaye's understanding and implementation of physics and (albeit low by today's standpoint) technology.

I don't mean this as a bash against other designs, but a lot of thought has gone into the overall mag design, especially if you look at the design of the ULE trigger. That is a brilliant switch if you ask me.

Unfortunately, by design, I feel it is a gas pig, but it is a very solid design.

Beer makes me wax poetic I guess.

Absolutely love my 'Mag and would like to add another sometime. I got one in Dec 2004/Jan 2005 and have been kicking myself since for not getting an Automag years ago.

Love the hopper right/PF Minimag body! If you want to trade for a hopper left/PF Classic body, let me know!

Congrats on your new additions!

You have obviously never used a Mag. Once you try one, you will never want to use anything else. I know that everyone has their favorites...there just seems to be something about a Mag that gets you addicted.

It's called the "magness" and yes, i can fully understand what you mean.
I have 6 mags now, a PTP unibody micro, minimag, 68 classic with promag valve, a Tac-one, (pneu-ed) a STD X, and a CNC X.

Looks like an RPG...

Anyway, I'll never stop loving mags... As a player in the Northeast, I always had to use mags over cockers due to the humidity and frequent weather changes. While most old designs have been made obsolete, the Automag system has been almost exactly the same for 20 years, with minor upgrades here and there to make sure it's still competitive.

AGD not only means "Airgun Designs", it means A Great Design.

Mags are among my favorite guns. Ive got 4 currently with enough parts to build atleast one more. Mine are a
Pumpmag

Zgrip minimag RT, Its a classic rt rail set, minimag body, emag valve. classic rt zgrip. Doesnt work correctly right now. And i dont have the patiece for it. Railset is one Tom Kaye sold as he left AGD

Classic RT, not much to say its got lvl 10. It was built with all new parts about 2 years ago by a friend(Martyw). Railset, body, valve are ones Tom Kaye sold as he left AGD

Minimag converted to stockclass, but i have to swap the pump from the other one to use it. It does have grips now. Uses a phantom sc feed & phantom 12 gram changer. The rail is a taso rail.

The pumpmag gets used alot, the blue rt get used some, the zgrip doesnt want to work, the SC minimag i use more as a pistol because i have pulling apart my other pumpmag.

Angel G7 frame. Required shortening of the trigger rod, capture hole in the back of the trigger, and some milling/dremelling to get the foregrip to "kind of" fit. If you notice, the vert foregrip is a little off vertical.

This was how I purchased the gun off of ebay, but I needed an RT/X valve for an invention and this looked nifty.
