Regular gun oil and time. Use synthetic air tool oil or something synthetic in a similar viscosity. Regular oils tend to have a variety of hydrocarbons in them that work their way into urethane, which hits almost all of the mag seals. Heat, like in a southern attic, aids in the decay of urethane as well. That nasty brown color is decayed urethane.

It's not uncommon for people to drag a mag out of years of storage and be able to play a few days with it, even with brown o-rings. The o-rings do give up shortly thereafter.

By the way, the recommended tool to remove the power tube tip is a nickel.

Just change out the oring. You don't need the whole assy.

Woops...ordered already from AGD! For future use, what size/material oring would it be, and where would I get it from? (Bonus points for a part number)

...I was under the impression it had to be purchased as an assembly. At first glance, appears to have a circlip type clamp holding oring and shims on?

A regular RT parts kit was all you needed. If you had a lvl 10 then a Xvalve kit would have been the better choice since the RT kits don't have lvl 10 orings in them.

You can slip the oring over that clip.

If you were able to get the reg pin back in it's hole, you should be golden.
