First mag build (in progress)
Hello my automag bretheren,
So I'm totally fresh to automags and have avoided them like the plague for reasons unknown to me. I was stupid. Long story short I wanna build one. A badass one.
Since certain mag parts are hard to find this will be a developing process on my personal unicorn. So I'll be asking for suggestions on two ends. I know that there are plenty of other threads asking for help but I want my own, so the responses are geared towards me.
This build may or not find matching color parts. Sort of a starter I guess.
Mech build (preferred)
This unicorn build I know is gonna take a while but it'll be my shopping list.
Suggestions and such are highly welcome. Remember I don't have anything in my posession yet. But looking and talking has convinced me to move some of my collection and build something again.
Here's where I'm at so far with some mags and parts. I'll update more in a bit. Gotta run outta the house...again...
ULE from Fatalis
As a start, all x-valves come from the factory with level 10s, so a level 10 shouldn't be an issue unless someone has been pumping or otherwise tinkering. X-valve is top of the line AGD (unless you like stainless steel). As a mechanical paint launching engine, it's hard to beat (HPA only right?)
The phoenix is an older xmagterror body. He is still making bodies, so you might get him to throw one in the mix. This thread is old, so don't get too excited.

Rail length is a real preference thing. Two parts though, one is your length to the foregrip (tight or not so tight), the second is how the air line will go into the bottom of the foregrip from your ASA, or not.
I haven't seen any new 45 frames in a while (or RPG for that). Luke-AO is working on a frame, unless he has finished and sold them all already. The old benchmark 45 frames are available in single and double trigger. Are you looking at a single or double?
Mmk cool. Good to know on the valve/bolt combo.
Holy moly...that Phoenix kit...I wonder if he takes trades...
Concerning that I'm gonna pm you.
On the rail, I'd like to get my hand around it so a not so tight fit preferably.
Looking at the logic frames. Those are cool too.
Logic UMF's are very comfy. I found I wasn't totally happy with my Intelliframe and went looking for a UMF due to the better angle. Found one in black for a good deal and grabbed it. Never looked back. They come up every now and again, but I usually see them Raw. They are really nice if you want to spend the money.
You are probably looking at an RT rail (Phoenix is an RT length rail/body set). I prefer RT length myself, I feel it just "looks" better most of the time. And hell you can find all sorts of interesting bodies for rails. I got in on Venomous Designs combo's a while back and have been very happy. But I'll be damned if I don't want a basic ULE body again one day in gloss black mmmmmm.
I think Luke is making a large assortment of rail styles these days, they would be readily available and new I would think, makes shopping around a bit easier if you like his styles. Otherwise its parts hunting for the perfect piece.
Good luck, and welcome to the club sucker ;)
you might even consider buying a new ULE Custom from AGD or Tunamart?
Last I knew splashkitsrock420 had a raw Phoenix body and rail for sale on here
I don't mind if I end up buying a complete mag either. . .
I am a bit picky about frames. The logic umf looks so nice. I know the phoenix hunt is gonna be a quest. I've already pm'd two other people about phoenix bodies with no response.
Reebs, I didn't give that much thought..Thanks for the tip I'll be bookmarking that site!
Wish me luck. I'm currently talking with someone who's possibly willing to sell me a phoenix body.
Picked up a mag on here. I'll update when it reaches me ;) can't wait to play with parts and pieces.
