ID question on RT mag

I recently got an RT with no RT on the valve and no obvious signs that it had been worn off or painted over etc. It has matching serials 0272 which is the earliest mag I've owned the body is the non ported front it simply slopes.
I have tried to post pics but can't figure it out??
Any help would be great on both subjects..lol

I would love to see this! Try photobucket.com for the pics, then copy and paste the [img] code here.

bummer... someone hacked the cool part off... :(

That Armson barrel is pretty short. I wonder how well a rifled barrel would perform when its only 8 or less inches long? Have you had this RT out on the field?

Dusty Bottoms 02-03-2013 11:51 PM

Works about as good as any other 8in barrel does with decent paint at 280fps I find. I really like mine, even though I don't believe rifling does anything special no matter how long the barrel length.

:gunsfiring:It definately barks!

Am I wrong, or is this an Euro body that's been hacked up? Ive never seen a rt with a feedneck like that. Looks like an euro style that's been chopped off. What a shame!

OPBN 02-04-2013 04:02 PM

Yeah, I would venture a guess from the looks of it that what you have is possibly a hacked Eurofeed. I could be wrong, but I have never seen a direct feed on a Classic RT. You can also see on the front that it looks like someone sanded the body after cutting it off. If it was Euro, someone destroyed about a $150 body....

Something else that is rather odd is that the serial number is on the left side of the valve. Typically its on the right. Might be worth checking out on AO and see if TK or someone has some info.

Dusty Bottoms 02-04-2013 06:40 PM

Yeah, I'd agree with OPBN. That was probably a euro. I have a euro with a later serial number, 400's, so it's definately in the production range for a euro-feed RT. I've seen pics of a couple with the ventilated front end hacked off, for some reason, but I've never seen one with the feedneck hacked down. Shame.

mystery

I have tried doing more research and I can't figure this one out...interesting and thanks...I am now moving this to the for sale page as I just acquired a custom annoed y-grip, x-valved ule mag... I am thinking of 220 with no barrel. It has a level 10 installed too. Slight barrel leak...I haven't played with yet to work out the kinks...time to move it...
