Trouble after rebuild

Ok I'm usually better than this but I haven't had a mag in over 15 years. Mine was leaking so I did what I used to do which was install a full factory rebuild kit. This is a fully stock level 7. Now it leaks down the barrel and doesn't fire consistently at all. It chugs sand feels like the on off is slow or sticking. I have a pile of after market parts I was going to use soon as I got it working. I wanted to recreate my old mag from the late 90s. Parts are a reactor on off, ans Venturi bolt, ans phase II reg body, and proteam spacer kit. The old gun was a dream to shoot. This one is becoming a nightmare. I'm sure I'm doing something wrong. Help! I need this operational for march 9!

Run lots of oil through it to be sure all the new parts are well lubriated. Better yet lubricate a little all the new orings especially the on/off and power tube orings.

When does it leak down the barrel?

If the trigger is forward and it leaks it will most likely be the power tube oring.
If the trigger is pulled and held back and it leaks it will most likely be the orings on the on/off.

It's when the trigger is forward that its leaking. New power tube o ring as well. I oiled everything really good. The leak would come and go hard, then slight. It was chronoong at 250 when I could get it to shoot.

Was wondering of I should put the valve stim in the drill and spin it in the hard rings to help break it in.

are you over-tightening or under-tightening either the frame bolt or thumbscrew? that can cause odd leaks. snug up the frame screw (dont crank on it) and screw the thumb screw in finger tight, see if that fixes your leak. If not try to tighten the thumbscrew a touch.

Might not be the problem but its something ive had trouble with on one of my mags.

How old is your rebuild kit?

Maybe double check your power tube Oring for nicks. If that does not stop the leak try the next size smaller of spacer.

If you are swapping the bolt and spacer out for new you should probably use those new components now. You will likely go through this whole process again when you install them anyways. Just replace one component at a time and test. That way you know when the the problem, if any, started. I would change the bolt first to see if the problem continues.
