Is there a "tall" RT-P VASA out there?

Simply put, I want my mini CP gas-thru to be nearly level with the bottom of my grip frame.

Most RT-P VASA's look like this:

I want to find one that is the same height as the one below, but they seem to only exist for classic rails:

Does this exist?!

I was looking for one as well to allow my 3.5 oz to screw in.

I had no luck and eventually moved to a classic rail.

You could always mill or file the wings off of a classic vasa.

Classics mount with only one screw. Without the wings it would twist, plus you'd have to drill out the rail for a larger screw since the ones used on the classics are significantly smaller.

I believe the "tall" VASAs for the RT Pro came from late classic RTs.

I agree with just cutting the wings off a classic ASA, drilling and tapping a second hole, and drilling the rail for the one larger classic screw. Simple to find, easy to do, cheap and buy. I'd suggest the Lapco ASAs simple because they are drilled and tapped on both sides and have a nicer finish that the stock classic ASAs.

Another option would be for you to have someone like Luke make you one from scratch. It would be exactly as long as you want, and he could even add some cool milling. I think Rainmann has been looking to do some more custom work lately. You could also try him. He could also anodize it for you (you get 15% of anodizing if you have him do custom work).

Unfortunately, I'm running a Logic UMF frame, so the classic rail is a no-go. =/

I'd really like to find something already manufactured, but thanks for the advice, as it looks like I may end up needing to go one of these routes.

There's some little extensions around, maybe guerrilla air?

For a conversion, I would ask Luke as well if you have no tools. You will need a bottom tap for those RTP screws.

RPG 15 ASA - Classic - PB Legion

or the RPG 3 hole VASA's

or similar to the DW carbon fibur fore grips:
Paintball Barrels - DFG2 Automag Carbon Fiber Foregrip

Thanks, that was helpful. I'm going to see if I can find an "adaptor plate" like the DW one.
