automag weight

Just for shiggles I threw one of my mags on the scale. It's a ULE body with a classic valve and a carbon gripframe.

(1 lb 7.5 oz)

Just for comparison against a Spyder Compact 2000

(1 lb 13.1 oz)

Yes, I left that bottomline adapter on there; I don't think it makes up for the nearly 6oz difference.

Looks like the RTP rail would balance out the cap on the valve. The bottomline on the Spyder would likely balance out the gas through or 1/8 to ASA adapter. ie. I don't think the final weights would change all that much. Not many people with Spyders that I know run the tank directly into the front ASA. Thanks for this.

Did you buy that ebay auction just for this? Props if, yes, just to prove a point.

That would be extremely petty of me to buy a Spyder just to prove a point.

I bought it to prove *multiple points*.

As soon as I get my hands on a Spyder threaded Freak back... field results.

That and the hilarious forthcoming "field cleaning of bolt" video.

Never saw that before, what advantage does it offer besides weight reduction?
