Mainbodies Cockerthreaded?

Yeah, This issue has been going around a lot of my friends and frankly, I really don't know what to believe so I came here for answers.

Do Pro Classic 'Mag bodies have Twist-lock or Cocker threads?
I need this because when I raise enough money I'm going to order a Pro Classic with a PPS Stabilizer (I don't know whether or not i should take the Female or Male) and a brass barrel. If the Mainbodies don't have cocker threads, I'll have to get ULE (Which will make my hunt for Autmags longer )

Thanks
-Oliver

What's the Stabilizer for? The 'Mag valves all have regulators in them that work best with as much pressure to them as you can feed them. I've seen some 'Mags with outboard regs and wondered why since most of the Mag folks seem to recomend no reg.

And if the body you want is a stainless steel one then it'll be a twistloc style. None of the old classic stainless bodies were cocker threaded. Only the later aluminium ones.

I read Tom Kaye's Tech Notes but I want a stabilizer, I can adjust in case i want to change longer barrels with shorter barrels for technical reasons.
Thanks!

The stabilizer is for when I get another gun, Plus my friend finds that there is a slight improvement with a stabilizer.

I'm on my way to become a gun whore :P

If you are using CO2 a Stab would certainly help. Just keep it's output maxed.

Yeah, you can velocity adjust with the mag reg, you should make the PPS stab max output.

"pro classics" come with twist lock bodies. All stainless steel mag bodies are twist lock, besides obviously custom things.

Hmmm.

I love how i Always get answers the same day or a day later on this site!

So I'll need ULE Body, PPS Stab, 8" PPS Barrel. Tom's Notes were really good advice.
Maybe later on when i get more serious with my Automag, I'll get a Y grip!

Thanks to all!

You can get a cocker-to-twistlock adapter that installs permanently on a twistlock body, and allows you to use cocker threaded barrels. Plenty of airsmiths have made them at some point or another, and if no one is making them currently, I'm sure people will line up drooling at the prospect of another run of them.

you can find old ones here and there. Doc nickel made some i think. White wolf made some..i think.

They can be removed.

Better and easier to just pick up a ULE body IMO.

Stabilizer for CO2 is great.
