What color loctite is it and how should I go about breaking the loctite seal? Will heat do it?

Dan - it's stainless steel, so a little heat isnt going to hurt it. Just remove the power tube and on/off internals. The X valves have a thin red oring sealing the powertube from the front part of the valve where it threads on. It may be the same one on the classics, I dont even recall if there is one in there. (Its been a while)

When re-installing the powertube, if the oring looks ok, then use generous amounts of red loctite. Just be very careful not to get any on the oring.
