ANS Phase II Air valve.

Hi,

New to AutoMags and have only owned one for about 5 days. I picked up an older AutoMag68 Classic. A couple of questions:

1) If one were to add a ANS Phase II Air valve would there be much improvement in recharge rates and would this translate into higher ROF (bps) potential? Basically, is the ANS Phase II Air valve much better then the stock classic valve?
2) How does one tell the revision of the bolt? Level 7, 10 etc... mine has a thin blue flat "bumper" and a black foam wedge at the end.

My automag:

The bolt is a Level 7 bolt. I'd steer clear of ANS parts for Automags. Mags tend to work best with genuine AGD parts. If you want an improvement on recharge rate go with an AGD ReTro valve, or X-valve.

Thnx PhantomPower,

I am stalking an XBolt on eBay (there are two today).

Do you happen to have either a spare ReTro or X-Valve in your parts box(es)?

The only time I can think a Phase II Air valve would be an improvement would be on really early Automags before they lined air holes up. Even then, the difference would be insignificant in most occasions.

It's a level 7 foamie bolt, level 6 and earlier had a removable power tube while level 10s have an easily distinguishable added complexity.
